“If we could give every individual the right amount of nourishment and exercise, not too little and not too much, we would have found the safest way to health.”    Hippocrates

“Physical fitness is not only one of the most important keys to a healthy body; it is the basis of dynamic and creative intellectual activity.”    John F. Kennedy

Tip 15: Keep Moving!

The Angels encourage us to get moving and to keep moving. Are you feeling stagnant or held back at this time or stuck? If you have been putting off exercise – then it is time to begin or to amp it up or try something different! The only person who can get between you and your manifestations is you and a lack of movement is an obstacle to becoming magnetic to your Highest Good.  It is time to get motivated and energized.  When we get our energy moving we are more open and receptive to new and exciting endeavors.

These days we have no believable excuse for a lack of exercise.  In the ‘old days’ we used to be able to use age as an excuse to be sedentary ; however, ninety year olds are now pumping iron in community centres around the country as we realize that exercise is not about vanity but about health. Doctors now agree that it is never too late to begin a sensible exercise regime although if any of us have been sedentary for a long time a physical check-up is recommended beforehand. The financial excuse doesn’t hold water either since walking is free and is one of the best and most frequently recommended forms of movement that leads to fitness.

The well scientifically documented benefits range from the physical to the emotional. From lowered stress, cholesterol, and blood pressure to increasing optimism, energy and longevity. As Michelle May, MD, writes in her book “Eat What You Love, Love What You Eat” the benefits of exercise are enormous, and incorporating an exercise routine into your life is “one of the most powerful prescriptions you can write for yourself.”  When we exercise, as May points out, we become resilient in body, mind and spirit.

Remember that baby steps are always recommended, especially if it has been awhile, this is common sense. Even 5 minutes a few times a day is a big improvement over no movement. Grandiose goals don’t work for many of us (certainly not for me anyway!) and if we make a commitment to start one small action at a time and build up to a bit more activity then we are much more likely to stick with it and incorporate movement into our daily routine. If you are mostly sedentary, what small amount of exercise could you incorporate into your life today?  Do that!

Exercise raises our vibration which makes us more magnetic. It clears our mind and connects us to our spiritual support because the messages of the Angels come through on the molecules of our breath and are easier to receive when our energy hasn’t pooled and negatively affected our mechanical resonance. If we exercise outdoors then we have even greater benefits as our spiritual awareness is much heightened through contact with the natural world. Contact with the natural world on our walks helps us to deepen connections to those around us, to our Higher selves, our pasts and our futures. Our world expands exponentially.

We know that exercise relieves stress and that in our modern world most of us are almost continuously under stress. Stress can destroy us from the inside out and if we do not embrace stress- management techniques, of which exercise is one, we are risking our emotional, mental and physical health. Poor dietary choices and lifestyle habits all add up to the unhealthiness that scientists say has reached epidemic proportions throughout the world. 90% of our state of health is a direct result of our thoughts and the determining actions that follow them. Our thoughts, actions and emotions are responsible for activating the Law of Attraction which then delivers our manifestations for better or for worse. (I have written 100 tips on the Law of Attraction in previous blogs because it is crucial to understand it in order to manifest consciously)

We need masterful mood control in order to manifest our Highest Good and be magnetic to our positive desires. Regular and enjoyable exercise helps us to master our moods. Exercise helps us to progressively transition from a foul mood to a positive mood remembering that your mood is not your emotions, but affects the way you think and if you are trying to manifest something today  if you are in a foul mood chances are high that you will ruin your manifestation.  A foul mood, sustained, sends out a frequency that is out-of-sync with positive manifestation.  Many people do not realize that a foul mood is a choice and that if we are constantly in a foul mood we have used effort and energy in this direction. We have the power to change our mood; however, we need to acknowledge a foul mood in order to change it! That is the first step to attaining power over it.

If we do not have sufficient movement in our lives the power of past experiences is likely to stay stuck in our bodies and our energy fields. If our energy is slow and sluggish our life force can pool around us becoming heavy and dense. This thick energy makes it difficult to receive what we are manifesting. We do not need to move quickly –  in fact – hyper and urgent movement sends out a very fragmented and nervous life force that can attract abrasive situations and agitated people to us. Stretching, moving at a leisurely pace, smiling and breathing deeply, projects a beautiful vibration and your physical energy will glow. A wonderful daily affirmation from Sandra Anne Taylor to employ is: “I enjoy exercising. As I move my muscles, I know that I am letting go of old energy and opening myself to a new, vibrant, and attractive resonance in my life.”  As you exercise your body releases endorphins that make you feel better and the more that you incorporate exercise into your life the more relaxed you will feel and you will know that a lack of movement is not a block to your manifestations as the “exercise” oracle card often comes up in my Angel readings when a client is enquiring as to why her manifestations seem to be blocked.

The best forms of movement for you are the ones that you will actually do!  I often recommend to my clients exercise that also doubles as a meditation and can include visualization so that many, many benefits are rolled into one – these include, but are not limited to, Yoga, Tai Chi and Qi Gong.  Each of these moves your body, requires your mind to focus and also allows you to hold wonderfully indulgent visualizations as well!

Do you need some help with motivation and practical guidance?  Archangel Raphael is the top healing Angel and you can easily invoke him in any way you wish.  Doreen Virtue suggests this prayer, said aloud or mentally: “Dear Archangel Raphael, thank you for motivating me and guiding me to an exercise programme that fits my schedule, interests and budget.”  I can tell you that Archangel Raphael responds very quickly, having worked with this Archangel over the past 10 years.  Only ask.

Great advice, Monica! I think it was in Norman Doidge’s book The Brain’s Way of Healing that I read this wonderful line: If there is a panacea in medicine it is walking. Thanks.
