“Gladness of heart is life to a man, joy is what gives him length of days.”    Old Testament/Reign of Solomon

“When you arise in the morning, give thanks for the morning light, for your life and strength.  Give thanks for your food and the joy of living.  If you see no reason for giving thanks, the fault lies with yourself.”    Tecumseh, 1768-1813, Shawnee Native American Leader

TIP 31:   STATE OF JOY

Joy and peace are states of being, they are not emotions.  Emotions are fleeting; people fear happiness because it doesn’t last, but joy is enduring, and can endure life’s challenges.  Commit to living in a state of joy, which holds a high vibration of attractiveness – exude joy and attract joy.

TIP 32:   TRUST, FAITH & CERTAINTY

Trust that you are loved and loveable.  (Source and the angels love you unconditionally)  Have faith that what you desire exists for you.  Release hope and hopelessness and embrace certainty as to what you are manifesting.

If you want to live in a state of joy then you need to learn how to go to the depth of your being without needing a crisis to take you there.  This is one of many New Age lessons we are learning as we choose to Ascend to a Higher Frequency.  We are learning this as we accept more and more Light which is streaming in.  As you likely know, yesterday was an 11:11 portal – a Gateway.  Another lesson we learn is to allow ourselves to accept love, money, friendship or whatever else we are manifesting to come from unusual, unexpected sources.  This is something that I have been working on diligently, because in the past I expected to receive from familiar sources.  Now, as I continue to expand, I am willing to receive from the universe in ways of which I cannot intellectually conceive and also in ways I have never received before.  This is making all the difference.  Ask that all channels of Good open to you.  Spirit guides tell us that when we are determined to have something only through certain sources, we cut off all other ways it can come to us.  Expect miracles.

Can you picture yourself in a state of joy?  What would this look and feel like?  Please answer these questions in your journal.  The only limit to what we can manifest is what we can picture for ourselves and then allow into our lives. Is your picture sufficiently expansive?  Answer this in your journal.  Here is another tip for you – if your picture doesn’t make you feel joyous and enthusiastic – then that is your soul’s way of directing you to another path!

Are you aware of the fact that the universe , as Source created it, is friendly, safe and abundant?  I am not speaking here about what we humans have done with what Source created, but rather what is.  What Source created cannot be undone.  Therefore, a state of joy can be maintained by remembering this Truth.  For who of us could remain joyful in a universe we believed to be against us?  The universe is for us.  Let this be the underpinning of the joyful state you seek, because, ultimately joy is not something we seek, but rather something we are in our natural state.

Our friend, Emmanuel,  (EMMANUEL’S BOOK) cautions us against too much solemnity in our lives:

“Life is only ponderous

when you are not connected to everlasting joy.

A great deal of solemnity serves no function.

You need to laugh.

You need to play, each in his own way.

Childlike qualities are Godlike qualities

in their spontaneity and joy.

Even the foolishness and the fun,

the dancing, the love,

the surrender, the abandon,

the lightness are part of the growing

pulsating human being

that is a blessing to your world.

God did not design pain and suffering.

Resistance designed pain and suffering.

God’s Will is to light the world

with peace, joy, health and abundance.

And with the awareness

that this is a temporary stopover.”

Would you be more joyful if you realized that you are an eternal expression of Source choosing your destiny?  List in your journal a number of ways that you might increase the joy in your life.  It might help to remember this quote of Eckhart Tolle’s: “There is nothing wrong with striving to improve your life situation.  You can improve your life situation, but you cannot improve your life.  Life is primary.  Life is your deepest inner Being.  It is already whole, complete, perfect.”  Trust yourself.  You may get little to no support for this – but – do it anyway!  When we consistently suppress and ignore our intuition, looking instead outside of ourselves for validation and the approval of others – we give our personal power away.  Our power to, not power over.  This giving away of our personal power can lead to feelings of helplessness and a sense of being a victim and this eventually may lead to feelings of anger and rage and then if these feelings continue to be suppressed – to depression.  As Shakti Gawain reminds us: “we may simply succumb to these feelings and lead a life of  quiet numbness and desperation and die.” (LIVING IN THE LIGHT)  This does not mean that we disregard the rational mind, but we use it as the powerful tool that it is to give support and expression to our intuitive wisdom.  Many of us, in the past, have programmed our intellect to doubt our own intuition, with the result that when an intuitive feeling arises, our rational mind goes immediately into censoring mode.  Learn to trust your intuition.  It is an art form, and like every other art form it requires practice.  Practice makes perfect.  You will need to be willing to make mistakes as you practice and to sometimes embarrass yourself and feel foolish; however, this is so with everything we learn.  “Your intuition is always one-hundred percent correct, but it takes time to hear it correctly.  If you are willing to risk acting on what you believe to be true, and risk making mistakes, you will learn very fast by paying attention to what works and what doesn’t work.  If you hold back from fear of being wrong, learning to trust your intuition could take a lifetime.” When Shakti Gawain originally wrote those words – it was during the early 80s.  Much has changed. Light is flooding in and we are now awakening quickly. It need not take a lifetime to awaken and learn to trust your intuition.  That was then, this is NOW.  Some of us are on our last lifetime on this planet & are capable of working with the angels and ascended masters and spiritual teachers incarnated and otherwise to safely open up our channels and channel universal energy for healing ourselves and others and manifesting much more rapidly than in our past.  It is a choice.

As you practice and learn to live from your intuition, you no longer make decisions exclusively with your head.  You find yourself letting things unfold because you are following the energy in every moment.  As you begin to follow your own intuition it will feel as though more energy is flowing through you.  You may feel overwhelmed at so much energy.  However, do not worry – your body is simply expanding and increasing its capacity to channel universal energy.  Relax into it and take frequent naps and rest as needed.  In time you will feel more balanced as you adjust to the increasing intensity.  Be kind and gentle to yourself.  It is all good.

Many of us find that it is difficult to remain in a state of joy if we are surrounded by broken or useless objects because they clutter our energy.  Since we feel the energy of objects around us at a subtle level it is best to surround ourselves only with items we love and feel connected to.  Also, keep things around you in good repair so there is order and harmony about you.  Keep only those things around you that reflects a high energy back to you.

Lack of faith and trust is always at the root of fear.  And our fear and negativity is rooted in ordinary linear time.  To step into joy I step into the Time of my Higher Self, which is not linear but is always NOW.  Tolle calls ordinary time psychological time.  “All negativity is caused by an accumulation of psychological time and denial of the present.  Unease, anxiety, tension, stress, worry – all forms of fear – are caused by too much future and not enough presence.  Guilt, regret, resentment, grievances, sadness, bitterness, and all forms of nonforgiveness are caused by too much past and not enough presence.  Most people find it difficult to believe that a state of consciousness free of all negativity is possible.  And yet this is a liberated state to which all spiritual teachings point.  It is the promise of salvation, not an illusory future but here and now.” (THE POWER OF NOW).  You will not find your salvation in the past or the future.  You will find it now.  You can never find that point because it is not lost – you can only be free in the NOW.  The point of attraction.

Is there anything wrong with this moment right NOW?  Answer this in your journal.

Some of us have difficulty manifesting because we are unintentionally offering thoughts in opposition to our desires.  “Action that is inspired from aligned thought is joyful action.  Action that is offered from a place of contradicted thought is hard work that is not satisfying and does not yield good results. .. You are mostly physical-action beings at this time because you do not yet understand the power of your thought.  When you are better at applying your deliberate thought, there will be not so much action for you to tend to.”  (THE LAW OF ATTRACTION, Abraham, chanelled by Esther Hicks)  This is one of the reasons I encourage my clients to attain mental mastery.

When we get our inside correct, the outside falls into place – and we bloom like flowers unfolding into our full potential.  To stay in joy, the best place to attract from – avoid too much past and too much future.  Be still.  Be present.   (Read or re-read my blogs STAYING IN JOY (Oct 30, 14) & FAITH (Nov 20, 14))

What gives you the greatest pleasure?  What might be blocks to your joy?  What is the key to experiencing more bliss in your life?  Please answer these in your journal.

Soar into your joy.  Live life with glee.  Dare to be madcap and spontaneous!

Love & Light,  Monica

As often happens, Monica, your blog and my life seem to synchronize quite often. Just this morning, after some frustrations with online stuff that could really help me in my work, I decided to give up and get a full time “real” job. Again. Ha! After firing off a couple of grumpy letters to the site manager and projecting into a future of 9-5 I “got with the present” and tried one more time. Staying present works! Also, there’s a lovely Meister Eckhart quote I was thinking of just this morning (another synchronicity), “If you say no other prayer your whole life than ‘thank you’ it is enough.” Thank you.

These Blogs are always just what I need to read . Living in the Light, was one of my favourite books in the mid 80’s, I think I still have it…somewhere.
