Angel Runes
“As we begin to wake up…we begin to understand that we are a tapestry of sorts. Although we each have a personal tapestry and ancestral tapestry, in the community, societal and world tapestries, we may be just a thread or a part of a thread. These threads that compose the tapestry are made up of our thoughts, our fears, our collective conditioning and expectations , and larger influences. Many of us who begin the process of waking up begin to realize that these threads, our lives, are programmed, … we are collectively woven to be asleep. This tapestry appears as a grid that some of us… are able to see as lines, lights, or streams of energy… this may appear out of the corner of our eye, in bed at night, or even during the day in plain view.” Mary Mueller Shutan
“It’s high time someone treated the Runes as part of living Western shamanism. We need our shamans, after all, and you don’t need an appointment to see your Runes.” Margaret Mead
Having been on a psychic tour in different places in Ontario for the last six months, I am now back in Angel Cottage and on a little retreat advised by the Angels. Although the Angels speak to me in many different ways – through clairsentience, clairvoyance, clairaudience and claircognizance, other clairs, Angel oracle decks and so many other ways, I increasingly find the Runes very helpful in knowing where I am on the path.
The Runes speak to us about change and growth. They do not tell us what to do next, nor do they predict future events. The Runes are an Oracle – it is not having your future told. The Runes can help you dis-cover areas of growth and progress that are blocked – once these areas of blockage are brought into the light – then we can use alchemy to transform our experiences. We are always responsible for our own experiences. The Runes can direct us toward inner choices that may be very crucial elements in determining our future.
If you are reading my blogs regularly then you are a lightworker on a mission. You may be an undercover lightworker, but, nonetheless a lightworker. One of the many challenges of light work is remaining grounded so that we can deliver what we came to deliver – in the physical world. In that sense, we cannot escape 3D – so we must integrate it.
In order to integrate our various aspects, one of which is being a human, we need to master our energy. We cannot be effective with our mission/purpose if we do not master and maintain our own energy. In fact, soul embodiment cannot occur without mastering our energy. This means having a daily routine (10 minutes does it!) that keeps our chakras cleansed and balanced and provides protection and psychic self-defense. We need to be free and clear (as do the loved ones around us) of any energy attachments.
We are becoming master alchemists and we want to use the many tools in our toolbox. Be heartened knowing that as we cross over into 5D consciousness and embodiment we will have gifts just drop in as we merge with our I AM presence. Before that happens though, we will have gone through numerous initiations – these are sometimes called “crises”: marriage dissolves, job or career ends, a loved one crosses over, betrayed by a friend, serious illness, etc. This is the heroic journey depicted by Joseph Campbell. We push through our fears, doubts and resistance and at some point we need to ‘jump’ into our new life – not knowing what lies ahead. Blind faith. All old identities left behind.
To manifest our dream/s we need to leave ‘ordinary’ behind and commit to action on the physical plane. That action could be many different things depending on our own challenges: leaving a toxic relationship, investing money while still imbued with some left-over scarcity issues, coming out of the spiritual closet, journaling, meditating, risking looking to others like a fool, speaking our truth. Refusing to be a victim. Those are a few.
Our fears and our shadow sides always come up so we can access our gifts! Guides appear – spirit guides and incarnate guides. Can you identify your guides? Maybe journal about that. As we change and grow we are given new guides to help us – they are more highly evolved – as we are evolving.
So, why am I calling this blog Angel Runes? Because, I do not do anything without calling in Angels, no matter what it is. Before I pull a Rune, and I am going to do that for you now, I always call in the Angels of the Runes. What is the message for my readers today Angels of the Runes?
You, as a collective, received Eihwaz. “As we are tested we fund the power to avert blockage and defeat. At the same time, we develop in ourselves an aversion to the conduct that creates stress in our lives. If there appears to be an obstacle in your path, consider that even a delay may prove beneficial. Do not be overly eager to press forward, for this is not a time or situation in which you can make your influence felt. Patience is the counsel Eihwaz offers: nothing hectic, no acting needy, or lusting after a desired outcome. This Rune speaks to the difficulties that can arise at the beginning of a new life. Often it announces a time of waiting – for a spring to fill up with water, for fruit to ripen on the bough.” When we receive this Rune, perseverance and foresight are called for. It indicates that a profound person is able to forsee consequences before acting. The advice indicates that right action will avert anticipated difficulties. We are more deciders than doers this Rune says, so, once our decision is clear – then doing becomes effortless because the universe supports and empowers our action. Receiving Eihwaz tells you that although this may be a trying time, it is definitely a meaningful time and that through discomfort and inconvenience growth is promoted. “So set your house in order, tend to business, be clear, and wait on the Will of Heaven.” (The Book of Runes, Ralph H. Blum)
Waiting on the Will of Heaven. Divine Timing. We often forget this do we not?
Are you familiar with the Runes? If you have read J.J.R. Tolkien then you are. Runes, in their contemporary use, serve us Spiritual Warriors whose goal is self-change. The Runes are an ancient Oracle older than the New Testament. The wisdom of the Rune masters died with them; however, as Ralph Blum says…”function determines form, use confers meaning and an Oracle always responds to the requirements of the time in which it is consulted – and to the needs of those consulting it.”
We are meant to live in the world as fully awakened individuals within our human bodies. The Runes can help us identify right action on the journey of our divine unfolding.
Love & Light, Monica

Undercover light worker here–that appeals to my Scorpio nature 😉 This blog reminds me of Carole King’s album, Tapestry, from the 70s. Which I have memorized. Thanks!
